Trans Canada Trail welcomes the Olympic Torch from coast to coast to coast

Trans Canada Trail volunteers and supporters have welcomed the Olympic Torch at Trans Canada Trail pavilions across the country. From Nanaimo to Yellowknife to St John’s, hundreds have gathered on the Trail to celebrate the Olympic Spirit.

“It was exciting to be so close to the Torch and join in the celebrations of Canada and the Olympics,” said Valerie Smith who attended the TCT pavilion event in Burlington, Ontario. The Burlington celebration was one of 25 pavilion events on the Torch Relay route.
