Resources for Educators

Teachers, youth group leaders, trail and conservation area guides, and other interested groups can order multiple copies of the Trans Canada Trail BioKit free of charge. Simply fill out the order form and return it to us by fax or email.

Visit the Educators' Zone for classroom activities to prepare for a BioKit adventure and discussion topics after students return from their biodiversity investigation.

It can be difficult to keep students' attention on the task at hand when temperatures rise and the end of the school year is in sight. With that in mind, we humbly suggest the Trans Canada Trail BioKit as an opportunity to take learning outdoors!

Collaborative Team behind the Trans Canada Trail BioKit

Production of the Trans Canada Trail BioKit was made possible through the dedicated participation of a network of collaborators. The Biosphère, Environment Museum and the Trans Canada Trail are grateful to the organizations that provided critical assistance in the design, production and distribution of this BioKit.

Thanks to Loblaw Companies Limited for their generous financial contribution in support of this project.

Thanks also to the members of the advisory committee for their sound advice, their invaluable knowledge, and their original ideas:

Your efforts will inspire Canadians across the country to discover the Trans Canada Trail in all its splendour!
