Special Programs

The Trans Canada Trail brings us closer together. We connect with others as we explore its beauty and we share in the pride as we meet its challenges. These programs—some ongoing, some complete—are examples of the work going on every day to bring the grand vision of the Trans Canada Trail to life.

» Grants for Aboriginal Trail Tourism (GATT) Program

Created with the generous support of TD Bank, the Grants for Aboriginal Trail Tourism Program supports the development of tourism initiatives by Aboriginal communities and/or Aboriginal entrepreneurs in Northern Ontario.

» Explore Canada’s biodiversity along the Trail

Grants for Aboriginal Trail Tourism (GATT) Program

The Trans Canada Trail BioKit offers endless opportunities to learn about and explore Canada’s biodiversity. Bring the family and experience the natural wonders waiting to be discovered along the world's longest and grandest network of trails! This cross-Canada BioKit is the result of a collaborative effort by the Biosphère, Environment Museum and the Trans Canada Trail. It offers fun, interactive activities that will enrich your experience and help you learn about the environment along the Trans Canada Trail.
