Cape Breton a busy place on International Trails Day

Trails Day event host partners the Inverness County Trails Federation; Nova Scotia Trails; the newly minted Mabou River Trail Association; and our old friends Darrell Taylor and BethSheila Kent of the Cape Breton Island Pathways Association; warmly welcome all to a day of family fun and exercise on the scenic Mabou River Trail, part of the TCT on Cape Breton.

Event registration starts at 9:30 am at the Mabou River Inn with a 15-km return bike and 10-km return hike event starting at 10:00 am. The energetic Cape Breton Island Hoppers Volkssport Club have added a second walk, scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.

  • I’m a Trans-Canada Trail member, with plaques in Winnipeg for both my husband and I. I did buy a plaque for North Sydney a few years back in memory of my parents Bill and Katie Brake, so far Ihave not had an acknowledgement, can you check and see if it is there , if not please let me know. I am a Cape Bretoner and want a memory there(ps the tax receipt was sent to Kenneth Brake. thank you so much for your time and I wish you every success in your future.
