New trail opened in Charlevoix region of Quebec
The Sentier récréatif des Pointes, a 10.9-km stretch of trail linking the northern end of the Sentier les Florent in the village of Saint-Urban to the Pointes area rest-stop, was officially opened on Saturday, October 25. The trail is located in the breathtaking Charlevoix region and features hilly terrain with rewarding panoramic views.
Some 40 trail enthusiasts braved the cold, wet weather along with representatives from the Conseil québécois du sentier Transcanadien; la Fédération québécoise de la marche; le ministère des Ressources naturelles; and the municipality of Saint-Urbain.
This circle of influential and visionary leaders will help us connect the Trail and all Canadians.
The Trail is within 30 minutes of over 80% of Canadians and runs through or near 1,000 communities.
