Inscription Program

The Trans Canada Trail wants to ensure that your donations go toward the connection and sustainability of this legacy trail. We are transitioning our pavilion inscriptions program into a more cost-effective virtual program. This new approach offers donors the ability to send In Tribute gift recipients a Trail certificate informing them that a gift has been made in their name and it now also includes an e-card option for online donations. Other virtual features will be offered in the spring of 2012.

  1. Why is the TCT changing the Inscription Program?
Producing, distributing and installing panels across Canada is a costly exercise. With lower-cost opportunities created by technology and our commitment to invest donor dollars wisely, it is more effective for the TCT to look at other ways of recognizing our growing number of donors.  With our goal of connecting the Trail for 2017, Canada’s 150th anniversary, it is important that our investment of donor dollars be focused on facilitating the building and promotion of the Trail.

  2. Will there be other initiatives to recognize donors and their tribute gift recipients?
Our new program offers donors the ability to send In Tribute gift recipients a Trail certificate informing them that a gift has been made in their name and it now also includes an e-card option for online donations. We are currently working on an enhanced online recognition program that will be available in the spring of 2012.

  3. What will happen with my existing inscriptions?
Inscriptions in TCT Pavilions across Canada will remain a part of the legacy of the TCT.
