Valerie Pringle appointed a Member of the Order of Canada

Congratulations to Valerie Pringle, Chair of the Trans Canada Trail Board and Broadcast Journalist, on her recent appointment to the Order of Canada. Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, announced the latest appointments to the Order on Tuesday, February 20th. The Trans Canada Trail Board and staff are delighted that Ms. Pringle has been recognized for her contribution to the Communications field.

The Order of Canada was established in 1967 to recognize outstanding achievement and service in various fields of human endeavour. It is our country’s highest honour for lifetime achievement. Appointments are made on the recommendation of an advisory council, chaired by the Chief Justice of Canada.
