4th Annual Achilles Rail Trail Relay on Saturday, Sept. 22nd

September 16, 2007 | 4 comments

The Achilles Track Club of Peterborough is organizing this event, which runs from Kinmount to Peterborough and finishes on the TCT in Jackson’s Park. This year’s edition is to be a fundraiser in memory of local runner Karen Blair. Tony Braithwaite, Treasurer of the club, has arranged for a $400.00 message donation in honour of Karen; funds raised from the event will go towards the donation.

We at the Trans Canada Trail would like to extend our thanks and best wishes to the Achilles Track Club and the family and friends of Ms. Blair. For further information about the Relay, please contact Tony at 705-748-0873 or send an e-mail to dh.brown@sympatico.ca.

  • Hi Bill,

Next time you’re on the website, click on “The Trail” tab. Once there, click on “Navigate the Trail” and you will be able to use the Trail Locator. You can then enter any city, town, postal code to see the nearest section of Trail. Hit the + sign to zoom in.

    Regards,

  • Your comments were helpful but still no way to get the required info. Is this another expo ripoff as it is based in Montreal Quebec?

It appears that the site is always down for one reason or another (beta, wrong browser what excuse is next?).

I don’t think that any of the money they have raised is going into the trail but into salaries.

The parts of the trail that are completed were completed by the cities in the cities and by the provences outside the cities!

Let’s get some financial answers before it falls apart (down like the olympic stadium in Montreal).
