Beautiful BC on Top 25 New Adventures list for 2007

January 24, 2007 | 0 comments

National Geographic Adventures magazine has included two British Columbia getaways on its list of World’s 25 Best New Adventures for 2007. “Cycling the Okanagan Valley” is offered by Austin-Lehman adventures of Montana and was developed with the help of the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association and the Canadian Tourism Commission. Billed as “Multisport of Napa North” by National Geographic, the trip includes a 42-kilometre pedal on the Trans Canada Trail.

The second Canadian trip featured is “Paddling the Great Bear Rainforest coast”, a kayaking adventure run by Pacific Northwest Expeditions of Nanaimo. The Great Bear Rain Forest, a protected area of some 1.2 million hectares, features 402 kilometres of rugged coastline and is a unique eco-tourism experience.

For complete details and gorgeous photographs of both trips, visit National Geographic Adventures.

Thanks to the Canadian Tourism Commission for the update.
