Martin Goodman Trail – Toronto, Ontario 

Bikes? Strollers? Scooters? They all fit in on this lively waterfront trail. Stretching along Lake Ontario, it’s flat, paved and packed with places to stop for playground breaks, a quick bite or even a splash at the beach when the weather allows. City views on one side, shimmering water on the other — it’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. 


Confederation Trail – Prince Edward Island 

Car-free and bursting with charm, PEI’s province-wide Confederation Trail is made for family adventures. Cruise past rolling red fields and wildflowers, pause in postcard-worthy towns, and keep an eye out for ice cream stands along the way. It’s like stepping into your own storybook.

Rocky Mountain Legacy Trail – Alberta 

Want to wow the kids? This is your spot. The Rocky Mountain Legacy Trail offers front-row views of the Rockies, with a safe, paved path that winds between Canmore and Banff. Pedal under towering peaks, spot wildlife (bring binoculars!) and soak in mountain magic — all at your own pace.


Parc linéaire interprovincial Petit Témis – Quebec and New Brunswick 

Weaving through peaceful forests, along lakes and rivers, this gentle rail trail is a quiet escape for families. Perfect for walking, cycling or towing little ones in a bike trailer, it connects Rivière-du-Loup to Edmundston, with plenty of opportunities for nature stops (and snack breaks) along the way.

Cowichan Valley Trail – British Columbia 

Collosal trees, sparkling rivers, and one seriously cool trestle bridge — the Cowichan Valley Trail on Vancouver Island has it all. Wide, easy paths near the famous Kinsol Trestle make it ideal for little explorers. Don’t forget the camera!
