Trans Canada Trail Appoints Meghan Reddick as Interim CEO
Trans Canada Trail is pleased to announce the appointment of Meghan Reddick as Interim CEO, effective February 19, 2024. Meghan will also continue to serve in her current role as Chief Communications and Marketing Officer.
Meghan’s interim post follows the departure of Eleanor McMahon who was President & CEO from March 2020 to February 2024. Meghan will hold the position until a permanent President & CEO is hired through an executive search process, which is currently underway.
Michael Lindsay, Chair of Trans Canada Trail’s Board of Directors, shares his confidence in Meghan’s ability to lead the organization through this transition period.
“I am delighted to announce that the Board has unanimously decided to appoint Meghan Reddick to the position of Interim CEO,” says Lindsay. “Meghan has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision for the organization. The board is tremendously proud of the senior management team, and the entire Trans Canada Trail staff, who, together with our trail partners, continue to do incredible work to steward this great Canadian asset.”
Before joining Trans Canada Trail in 2020, Meghan contributed to the growth, development and reputation of some of Canada’s largest national non-profits, including Habitat for Humanity Canada, YMCA Canada and Kids Help Phone. Her strategic, mission-centered approach to collaborative organizational management has earned her national recognition.
“I am thrilled to take on the role of Interim CEO at Trans Canada Trail, leading the organization through this transition period until we find a permanent replacement,” says Meghan Reddick. “Together with a strong staff team, we will continue to connect communities, celebrate nature and inspire a sense of adventure along this incredible trail network.”
