About Trail Care
Every spring, thousands of volunteers help to prepare their Trail sections for the summer, through cleanup and improvement projects, ensuring that all users can safely access the benefits of outdoor recreation on the Trans Canada Trail.
In 2024, 221 Trail Care events across the country engaged dedicated volunteers, who rolled up their sleeves and tackled everything from clearing debris to brush clean–up and accessibility improvements or art installations.
This year
This year, $269,250 in Trail Care Grants were awarded to 221 trail groups from coast to coast to coast, to help local groups get their sections of the Trans Canada Trail ready for the busy spring and summer seasons.
