Sharee Hochman

Coordinator, Partnerships

As Coordinator, Partnerships, Sharee builds and strengthens relationships with sponsors and partners to support the incredible work of Trans Canada Trail. She also collaborates with the Communications and Marketing team in developing cause marketing campaigns and identifies and writes grants that further programming and other initiatives.

Sharee brings an undergraduate degree in Rhetoric Communication and Sociology from The University of Winnipeg and has been working in the non-profit sector since 2020. Her work quickly gravitated towards the active transportation sector after buying her first bike as an adult. Here, she worked on physical projects and programming that supported bike infrastructure, transit, and other modes of sustainable transportation that targeted different demographics. Her interest led her to co-founding Women in Urbanism Canada, which kick-started her interest and experience in building partnerships and stakeholder relations, which she then used as Senior Sustainable Transportation Coordinator at Green Action Centre.

Being a year-round cyclist and a bikepacker, Sharee has enjoyed riding on the Rossburn Subdivison Trail and North Whiteshell Trail. She also completed a four-week canoe trip along the Path of the Paddle Trail and hopes to explore more trail sections in the future! When Sharee is not on the trails, she could be found reading a new book, planning a dinner party, or adding to her photography portfolio.
