Matt Ainsley

Matt brings a background in active transportation, trail planning and marketing to his role as Manager, Corporate Partnerships. He cultivates mutually beneficial relationships between Trans Canada Trail and like-minded organizations. Colleagues and funders value his data-driven approach to sustainable development, both for the Trail itself and for the long-term partnerships that support it.

Le P’tit Train du Nord is Matt’s favourite section of the Trans Canada Trail. A former rail line that runs through Quebec’s Rivière du Nord valley, it enables him to cross-country ski in the winter and bike camp in the summer. A passionate cyclist, Matt is a long-time volunteer with The Flat Bike Collective in Montreal, where he teaches people how to maintain their bikes. Matt speaks both English and French.
