Manitoba 100% Connection
Eco-racing to connect the country
On June 11, Trans Canada Trail (TCT), in collaboration with Trails Manitoba, announced that Manitoba’s section of The Great Trail is now officially connected, province-wide. Manitoba is the seventh province or territory in Canada to have a connected path, following Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Saskatchewan.
The celebration was held at FortWhyte Alive during the annual – and now revamped – Eco Adventure Race, where competitors put their orienteering skills to the test by foot, bike and boat. Along the trail, a water station was set-up, sponsored by Keen footwear.
The event was attended by TCT partners, volunteers, donors and government supporters.
Start exploring! Manitoba’s is a favourite among cyclists and ranks among our 7 scenic trails to cycle in the fall.
