Trevor Hunsberger

Manager, Events

Trevor Hunsberger is Manager, Events at Trans Canada Trail, where he leads the creation of memorable experiences that connect people, partners and communities to the Trail. With nearly two decades of experience in project management, event design and multimedia production, Trevor brings a balanced mix of strategy, creativity and meticulous attention to detail to every event he manages.

At Trans Canada Trail, Trevor oversees all facets of event development. He collaborates closely with partners, funders, government stakeholders and community organizations to deliver events that run smoothly, reflect shared goals and celebrate the unique character of each section of the Trans Canada Trail. His work includes major national initiatives such as the 2024 World Trails Conference, the 2026 Canadian Trail Summit and the Great Canadian Hike, an annual 30-day challenge to get active and log kilometres and raise funds.

Before joining Trans Canada Trail, Trevor produced award-winning video and podcast content using compelling and accessible storytelling techniques. As production manager and producer, he honed the same skills that define his event work today — attention to detail, logistical precision, creative problem-solving and the ability to deliver polished experiences under pressure.

Known for blending strong project management with an openness to new ideas, Trevor is always exploring creative ways to tell the story of the Trail — whether through intimate community gatherings, large-scale events or innovative virtual events. He is committed to ensuring partners feel supported, informed and confident throughout the entire planning and delivery process.

Trevor lives near the Kissing Bridge Trail, a 10-kilometre section of the Goderich to Guelph (G2G) trail, which follows the line of a former railway through rural Ontario communities and passes through the West Montrose Kissing Bridge, the last covered bridge in Ontario.
