Voyageur Trail – Wawa
Near: Wawa, Ontario
Why Stop? If you’re driving along the Trans-Canada Highway, this stop along the Magpie River offers short trails through spectacular northern scenery. For a short but dramatic break from driving, park near Magpie Falls and enjoy magnificent views of the 75-foot-high cascade.
John McCutcheon Way and Trestle Bridge
Near: Uxbridge, Ontario
Why Stop? Known as Canada’s Trail Capital, Uxbridge offers a variety of scenic trails, including access to John McCutcheon Way and Trestle Bridge, as well as Uxbridge Trans Canada Trail. Not far from Uxbridge lies the town of Goodwood, which served as a primary filming location for Schitt’s Creek — making it a great stop for both nature lovers and TV fans.
