Pêmiska offers a robust trail network, with over 35 kilometres of multi-use trail from roadway to snow prairie pasture. It’s an ideal choose-your-own-winter-adventure scenario: Head out for a snowshoe, go cross-country skiing on groomed trail sections that take you through forested areas and open prairie, or try out fat-tire biking. Pêmiska also offers guided ATV rides around the area for those looking for an adrenaline-filled outing.

Cultural experiences on Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation
Pêmiska Tourism operates on Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation, home to four National Historic Sites. These include Fort Carlton, where Treaty 6 was negotiated and signed; the monument commemorating the Battle of Duck Lake; the grounds of the former St. Michael’s Indian Residential School; and the National Historic Site marking the signing of Treaty 6.
