Marathon Weekend Trail Clean-up
Date and time
12:30 pm
Location
Location: The Enercare Centre (entrance on Princes’ Boulevard: 100 Princes’ Blvd #1, Toronto, ON M6K 3C3)
With the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon right around the corner, we’re hosting a trail-side clean-up with our partners at Canada Running Series (CRS) and elite runner-turned-plogger Tina Muir.
Whether you’re a runner, walker, adaptive athlete or just a friend of the Trail in Toronto, we invite you for an afternoon of plogging (picking up trash while jogging or moving) at whatever pace you’re comfortable – all abilities are welcome!
The afternoon will start at the Enercare Centre (entrance on Princes’ Boulevard) with brief remarks from Trans Canada Trail and CRS, followed by a short safety briefing and clean-up instructions. Attendees will then be led across the street to the Martin Goodman Trail for the plogging activity. While our first wave of clean-up begins at 12:30pm, anyone is welcome to participate at their leisure any time between 12:30pm at 2:30pm.
When it comes to keeping our nationwide trail system clean, every bit helps. Lace-up and join the effort for the #TOwaterfront42K weekend trail clean-up!
