Trans Canada Trail signs a memorandum of understanding to support regenerative, cross-border tourism.
On September 9, 2022, Trans Canada Trail joined Canadian and American partners to sign a memorandum of understanding to support regenerative, cross-border tourism in the Windsor and Detroit regions. The partnership includes four signatories: Ontario’s Waterfront Regeneration Trust Corporation, the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Trans Canada Trail. The MOU paves the way for linking the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail) to Michigan’s Iron Belle Trail and the Great Lakes Way.
