Trans Canada Trail to Welcome New President and CEO in 2024
Today, Trans Canada Trail announced that President & CEO Eleanor McMahon’s leadership of the organization will end March 1, 2024, when she will join the University of Waterloo as Vice President, University Relations.
Michael Lindsay, Chair of the Trans Canada Trail Board of Directors said: “Under Eleanor’s capable leadership, Trans Canada Trail has achieved remarkable milestones. She secured $55 million in funding from the federal government, successfully relaunched the iconic Trans Canada Trail brand, and forged new partnerships with various trail partners, Indigenous groups, tourism organizations, and corporate sponsors.”
“She has also assembled an exceptional team. The Board is grateful for her leadership, and wishes her well in her new responsibilities. We look forward to working with the Trans Canada Trail team through transition – and continuing progress on important initiatives like the corporate strategy, capital campaign planning and the relentless task of expanding, improving, and preserving the network we all love,” Lindsay added.
