Evan Lackey
Robust infrastructure and clear, effective signage are key to a positive experience for all Trans Canada Trail users. As Coordinator of Infrastructure and Signage, Evan works with Trail partner groups across the country, providing grants and expertise to support them in ensuring that their Trail sections are clearly signed and well maintained. He brings several years of project management and operations experience, a wide-ranging skills set, and a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo to his role.
Evan has lived and worked in communities across Canada including the West Coast, a fly-in hamlet in the Northwest Territories and the Canadian Rockies, home to his favourite section of the Trans Canada Trail — the spectacular High Rockies Trail, in western Alberta. An avid cyclist, Evan currently lives near the Lower Don Valley Trail in Toronto, which connects the city’s urban communities to valuable greenspace. Some of his best Trail experiences have been on cross-country skis, experiencing the silence of the snow and the feeling of gliding along rolling terrain.
