Karen Browne
Donors play a critical role in the maintenance, preservation and expansion of the Trans Canada Trail. Passionate about the Trail and in her role as Manager, Donor Relations, Karen plays a critical part in ensuring that donors are engaged and that they understand the positive impacts they are having on this national treasure.
A graduate of the University of Waterloo, Karen holds a History Bachelor’s degree. She is an avid walker and loves to spend time outdoors with her family, including her three children and her Chinese Shar-Pei, Sumo. She lives near the Iron Horse Trail section of the Trans Canada Trail, but her favourite section is the Laurel Trail, which runs through the University of Waterloo campus and Waterloo Park, where it offers a natural oasis, including gardens, ponds and flowering trees.
