Rebecca Koroll
Rebecca Koroll ensures that the vast network of partners that steward the more than 400 sections of the Trans Canada Trail across the country have access to the resources they need to support their work on and for the Trail. Her role as Coordinator of Trail Resources also includes fulfilment of trail sector research, including the annual Trail Sector Survey as well as requests for specific research and trail visitation reports.
Rebecca’s career has included teaching tourism planning and development at the university level. She holds a degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from the University of Waterloo, where she is currently completing her doctorate in Recreation and Leisure Studies. She also volunteers her time on the board of directors of the Bright Starts Co-operative Early Learning Centre.
Based in Waterloo, Ontario, Rebecca lives near her favourite section of the Trans Canada Trail, the Health Valley Trail in St. Jacobs. Here, the Trail is accessible for her young family, including her two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Louie and Linus, and encourages one of her favourite pastimes—birdwatching and photography.
