Colleagues describe Sylvia St. George as friendly, approachable and authentic, traits that are especially valuable in her role as Manager, Human Resources for Trans Canada Trail. She looks after recruitment, onboarding, benefits, policies and procedures, training and a range of other supports for Trans Canada Trail’s greatest asset – its people. She brings experience working with community agencies supporting children and families, and First Nations front line mental health professionals.

Sylvia is a proud member of the Pine Creek First Nation in Manitoba, and has lived in Manitoba, B.C., Alberta, and now in Ridgetown, Ontario, five minutes from the Municipality of Chatham-Kent’s CASO Trail. Located on the former Canadian Southern Rail Line corridor, the unique pathway runs parallel to Highway 401, Southwestern Ontario’s main traffic artery, offering a safe and serene transportation corridor for active transportation users.
