Celebrating Philanthropy in All Its Forms
November 15, National Philanthropy Day, is a wonderful occasion to reflect on the significant contributions of our dedicated donors, volunteers, foundations and corporate partners who help us to care for and continuously improve the Trans Canada Trail from coast to coast to coast.
There are countless ways in which our supporters demonstrate philanthropy in action – but we tried to narrow it down to the examples below!
Exemplary volunteerism
From managing trail groups to coming together to clean up sections of the Trans Canada Trail, volunteers are the backbone of our organization – and their impact can be felt in communities across Canada.
Leaving a legacy for generations to come
We’re so grateful for visionary donors who have opted to leave a gift in their will to Trans Canada Trail – so that we can continue to maintain and steward the Trail for future generations, working to keep it safe and accessible for all in the face of extreme weather and the changing seasons.
And, donors like Whitehorse residents Richard and Ella Trimble explain that they were driven by the transformative power of walking, hiking and embracing the great outdoors, so they made the decision to become TrailKeepers, by giving monthly to Trans Canada Trail.
Helping to care for the Trans Canada Trail – and enrich the trail sector – for tomorrow
We would be remiss to not recognize the essential contribution of our corporate partners and sponsors, who make our work possible: accessibility mapping, caring for trails, raising awareness about the benefits of nature, and more.
We extend our most sincere thanks to all those who have made significant contributions to our community. Their dedication and engagement have created a lasting impact, enriching the Trans Canada Trail and all those who enjoy it, in countless ways.
