Town of Hay River – Emergency Trail Remediation

Following a flood, a major recovery project was undertaken to bring the Town of Hay River’s trail back to a safe and useable condition. This included removal of fallen trees and debris, brushing of tree lines, removal of mud and silt from paved sections, and cleanup of primary trailhead locations. Work also included repaving of approximately one kilometre of the Old Town Connector.

Haines Junction – Pine Lake Trail Accessibility Upgrades

The Village of Haines Junction continued its work to increase accessibility to and enjoyment of the Pine Lake Trail with the completion of an additional 1.5 km of asphalt surfacing and installation of additional benches along the trail.
