With Our Thanks, A Fond Farewell to Eleanor McMahon

On February 16, we will bid a fond farewell to Eleanor McMahon, President & CEO of Trans Canada Trail.

During her four-year tenure, Eleanor led our organization with dedication and passion. She fiercely believes in the importance of trails as places that enhance mental and physical well-being, strengthen communities, and create networks of connections among people and with the land beneath their feet.

Forward-thinking. Bold.
Community-focused. Connector.

A future-focused leader, Eleanor continually tapped into her deep knowledge, impressive skill set and extensive network to achieve the ambitious goals she set when she joined the Trans Canada Trail team in early 2020.

Since that time, she’s led collaborative process to develop effective strategies and action plans to ensure that the Trans Canada Trail is open and accessible for all people today, and for generations to come.

Eleanor’s ability to develop sincere relationships with people is at the heart of all her interactions. She is keenly aware of the power of connection and takes the time necessary to create links that last.
