It’s Valentine’s Day! We’re Sharing our Love for the Trans Canada Trail

Valentine's Day Story map graphic

February is the month of love, and we here at Trans Canada Trail have plenty of love … for the Trail! As a fun Valentine’s Day treat, we’ve created a story map for members of our staff to share their top Trail spots: what are their favourite Trail sections, and why? What super fun outdoor activities do they get up to, and where? Where do they disconnect and reconnect with nature? Places filled with special memories? Any particularly stunning landscapes or awe-inspiring nature experiences?

Here’s what some members of our team had to say:

Peace River Trail

“The Peace River Trail is one of my favourite sections of the Trans Canada Trail. I spend a lot of time here with my family, enjoying the arresting beauty and peacefulness of the boreal forest.” — Travis Grant

The Shubie Greenway Park

“The Shubie Park Greenway is beautiful in every season! It’s a great place to walk, say hi to people and their friendly dogs, spot wildlife like squirrels and blue jays, or take some time for yourself, surrounded by trees, flowers and water.” — Angela de Burger

la Montagnarde

“This trail section is part of la Montagnarde and leads to Magog. It offers lake views on one side and mountain views on the other. You’ll find a lot of artwork along the trail.” — Mathieu Roy

Parc Lafontaine

“The Parc Lafontaine is my favourite spot to walk year-round, and to play pétanque when it’s warm out!” — Meggie Carrier
